In order to achieve the maximum possible correction, it is necessary to observe the following correctly: / early diagnosis and initiation of treatment / choosing the right type of orthopaedic brace and properly constructing it / correct application time and correct duration of treatment / combined monitoring by an orthopaedic doctor and an orthopaedic technician / correct daily application schedule of the orthopaedic brace, as well as the total duration of the treatment, as determined by your physician
In manufacturing an orthopaedic brace, the wearer’s body is scanned using a 3D scanner, (it takes less than 15 seconds and does not use any radiation), and then the 3D model of the body becomes editable using sophisticated software. By carefully following the instructions given by your physician, the necessary modifications are made to create the ideal mold, to be used for manufacturing of your custom-made orthopaedic brace. The extraction of the mold is done using a milling machine (CNC milling machine), which, by receiving commands from the design software, cuts the mold according to the patient’s measurements with millimeter precision.
By using this mold, we create the orthopaedic brace from scratch by incorporating raw materials, following a handcrafted process.
The orthopaedic brace should be checked 1-1.5 months after its first application. Afterwards and during the treatment, this check should ideally be done every 3-4 months and at least every 6 months without any extra charge. Do not neglect the periodic checks of the orthopaedic brace.
In case of any inconvenience, do not wait for the above period to pass, but contact us so that the necessary corrections can be made. The orthopaedic brace should also be monitored by your physician at the time intervals she/he will determine.
